Hi, sometimes when I upload an image I get blank sections with only the top piece of the actual image showing. Most recently see https://www.comicogs.com/comic/108653-winter-in-america-part-vi

The only fix I've found for this is to take a new photograph and upload that because attempting to re-upload the original picture results in the same partially blank image.

Any ideas?

same here...
i wish i would know why it happens.

This is perplexing, we have not been able to recreate this.

And this happens even if you disable the original image first?

How often would you say you encounter this error?

Yes, this happens even if the original upload has been disabled. It's infrequent...

And the images load fine on your computer and other devices? Wondering if it could be the image itself that is corrupted in some way, rather than an upload corrupting it in the same way twice?

Does uploading it to other sites or viewing it in your browser work (e.g. https://imgur.com/upload?beta)

Hi, I can confirm that I can upload the image to that imgur URL successfully. Also, of course, I can view the image on all of my phone, my laptop and my Mac (and the image is stored in Google Photos from which it is also visible).

I hope this helps

Sorry for the late reply. It helps, but we're still not sure what's causing this. Could you share an instance where the image was successfully uploaded? We will investigate, do let us know if it keeps happening.

Help Please

I found this happened to me on occasion. The solution, for me, was to disable the image and re-upload, often multiple times, for it to work. I also mentioned it on the forum but we didn't get anywhere and it hasn't happened for a while.
